Hi all, I've installed r42 of ApolloOS, and now r43 is out, I thought i'd give ipm a go. ipm update seems to tell me that i'm on the current version? ipm packages doesn't seem to indicate that there is anything new to download? it's all a bit academic for me atm anyway, was having drive detection pr...

ok so the freewheel software I have is version 2.2.1, and I don't have a mx1000.driver, I have cocolino.driver, and that is version 1.3c I haven't seen any problems you describe, BUT closer inspection; I did wipe out my old s:user-startup when I copied over the ApolloOS off of my A600. Looking at a ...

that's odd, I've got a Cocolino on my A500, and ok fine I've only got a basic 3.9 install, but I have no problems with the freewheel software. i'll do some more testing tonight as I've just copied over the system drive of my ApolloOS A600 to my A500 and see if anything is different or if I can repli...

makes me wonder how much logic space is left on the FPGA or if we're running out of gates yet?

yeah I hear that. we've been able to access reasonably current, if obviously lower powered graphics cards for ages. PCI to PCIe bridges that operate mostly transparently to the software Kernel/OS layer have been around for ages. iirc the last of the line AGP cards were just PCIe GFX chips with a bri...

I'm just gonna pretty much just repeat what Guibrush said really... surely the idea of an FPGA is you can build in whatever you need, right into the chip? RTG and enhanced graphics? check. Ethernet? check. storage? check. AHI or enhanced audio? potential check? that's the main four (current that I c...

wow, 2620+! this is bonkers! :D I'm just worried about how the team are holding up. Is there anything we can do to help? send beer? make packing boxes? I'm not really in the market for "another machine" so a stand alone isn't going to interest me. I certainly don't need another PC-like box machine t...

awesome work to all involved. I love this sort of stuff! I have a rev5 A500, will I need to take the 2meg agnus out of the mini megachip board that I have - currently giving me 2meg chipram and put that directly into the agnus socket on the board; or can I just pull out the minimegachip and re-insta...

ok, sounds like you are missing the Picasso96 stuff to get the HDMI running as a graphics card. the ApolloOS image is here http://apolloos.weebly.com - i'm downloading it myself now, and have ordered a 32gig CD card and usb adapter to drop the image onto, so I have no idea about that. base things yo...

I did spot that on the protracker video of the gold3 core - 3.5meg chip ram free and figured it was something you guys were playing with! wasn't sure if it was going to make it into production. how does this sit in the amiga's memory area? are you basically taking the lower 2meg of zorro2 address sp...
