Be careful on your expectations. On the V4 I believe the plan is to release the 500/2000 model first with the 2.7 core? This requires less software support. There is a lot more software required for standalone (keyboard/mouse input support, etc...). I wouldn't be surprised if the stand-alone needed ...

In addition the core is a lot smarter than previous 68060 design. It has instruction fusing, bonding and other goodies that make it a much more efficient design.

Yes...but will you be developing a case/keyboard for it to go inside? FYI - I am not on the team... just a user on this forum. I believe the case/keyboard issue is being left to third-parties. The V4 is going to be sold exclusively through dealers who will do their own bundling/packages on top of t...

Great news! You guys should make a new Amiga now that you have the heart of it! I'm sure if put it on kickstarter it would be very successful. It could be like the spectrum next but better. Hello and welcome to the forum. The stand-alone V4 is in fact a new Amiga. Next-generation CPU and next-gener...

To answer your questions: No need to update kickstart ROM - Vampire comes with it built-in The upcoming Gold 3 core [ETA ???] will support all output going to DigitalOut (that includes native games). For earlier versions if you can redirect native screens to P96 the...

I suspect in the long run direct sales by the Vampire team will come to an end and all sales will be through dealers. This just saves so much time/hassle with money and shipping... especially as volumes are likely to increase.
