The correct SetPatch line is

Code: Select all

setpatch SKIPROMMODULES "scsi.device,filesystem,exec.library" QUIET
Due to the revised FastMem detection mechanisms, exec 45.xx will work in general with the updated Kickstart. But the Exec from BoingBag2 does neither offer any benefits over the one included in the Gold2.5 Kickstart, nor is it AMMX compatible.

I think so, if you mean the IDEFIX, which is just Gold 2 with the IDE stuff.

Both works OK here. Do you have something in PCMCIA attached when you try this ? It occured to me with some PCMCIA devices (not all) some months ago.

if not using romupdate, do you still need skip rom module updates for example exec.library?

I tried on my install, then my wb 3.9 with boing bags 1,2,3 and 4 would not boot

do i need to grab kick vampire rom then use remus to copy exec.library to libs folder, to use vampire version of exec?
