Hey guys,

For some reason, my Vampire is non longer visible in the Expansion Board Diagnostic and is not active anymore when I boot (no fast ram, no Apollo aMMX logo, nothing).

I tried on different Amigas 600 with different conf, kickstart 3.1, 2.0, ecs indivision+n604 plugged in or not, hard drive plugged in or not, all the same result. Not seen by the machine anymore.

On the board, the PWR lights on in green and the ACT in red. No SD installed, no HDMI cable plugged in.
The 68000 connectors are clean, the card is correctly plugged on the socket.

To be honest, I've never been really satisfied with this card from the beginning (delivered with core gold1), it has always been very instable, my machine (600 rev 1.5, PAL, WB3,1, MagicWB, PFS3) was randomly rebooting, even when not running any specific app, Diavolo was freezing, etc....when, the exact same machine always worked perfectly with the ACA630 or even no accel card.
Being still an "experimental" device, I was not too nervous and was waiting for the new core releases, but it looks like there was something wrong from day-one....
Before it died, the update to GOLD2 worked, the machine was ok but the CPU was still showing up as a 040 and not 060, like it's supposed to be with gold2, no ? And then, it crashed as usual and then stopped being visible.

Can the card be reflashed from a PC with a jtag cable ?
Can I send it for check-up ?
It a kipper2k version.

Thx for any help guys !

The Vampire is not displayed into the Expansion board diagnostic, because it is not build as an autoconfig expansion board. The Vampire take over the system directly from the CPU side. On my side, my V600 was always very stable with the official cores, so if you tried it in another A600 and you have the same result, it's make me thinking that your board has a bad contact somewhere. Do you have an USB Blaster ? If yes, we can help you to flash the core to see if it's help. Otherwise, if its don't work, the next step would be to ask Kippa/Majsta (depend wich one deliverded your card) for returning the card for checking.

Ok, I didn't know about the autoconfig expansion board.
I bought a USB blaster and sent an email to the team to get my .JIC Binaries file.
Let's hope that will solve the issue
To be continued

(sorry for the delay)
So, after re-flashing (USB Blaster, Windows 7 64bits) my Vampire with the Silver .jic core and re-updating it to GOLD and GOLD2 (on the Amiga), the machine finally rocked like expected ! The Vampire came back to life. No more random crash or reboot ! The machine is stable.
I also extended my "stress" tests with the HDMI output actived, etc, all good to go !
Thx to Guibrush and the Appolo Team.
