Hey Folks,

Anyone know how to get SCSI working with a Vampire?

I have a V500 v2+ in an A2000 and can't get it to work with a SCSI drive attached.

I've tried 2 different cards (a C= 2091 and SCRAM2000), both give the same result: the system can detect the card fine with no drives attached (as scsi2.device) but when I attach a drive (internal or external) it won't boot. If I turn an external drive on after booting, it shows up in HDtoolbox as 'unknown device' and I can't access it or do anything to it.

BTW - I'm using straight-up WB 3.1.

Any help or suggestions very much appreciated!

Thanks Marko,

That thread seems to be exclusively about GVP controllers and I can't find any info I could apply to other SCSI cards ( or SCSI in general). But I'll chime-in and see if any useful advice comes of it...

Just for general info, I was able to make a Supra XP 500 work by disabling the RAM via DIP5. With the RAM enabled it hung at the bootscreen, disabled it boots right up off the hard drive. I was able to see my 24 year old desktop running at blistering speeds, and even fired up a save game of Civilization from '94!
