As I understand, Vampire 4 will have SAGA chipset on board - does it mean we will be able to play AGA games on Amiga 500/CDTV?

Please correct me if I am wrong but it means we are going to be able to play almost every Amiga game created so far on classic Amiga 500... It`s AMAZING!

That's the idea but you may need WHDLoad to get some of the old ones to work.

My understanding is that AGA support will be in Gold 3, so will be available for the Vampire V2 and later models.

I have been wondering about how input devices controlled by the chip side such as the floppy drives will work in Gold 3.

I think (on the accelerators) graphics and audio registers will 'move' to the FPGA, whilst the CIAs and other IO related registers will be maintained in the motherboard chipset (a few may need to be maintained wholly or partly on both, I'm not sure). The memory management of the core will need to determine when a read or write should be from/to the old chipset hardware register or the new internal core registers.
