A2000 socket adapter.

Post by Marchie » Wed 14 Dec 2016 23:31

I read that the V500 will fit in the A2000 either through the 68k socket OR into the CPU expansion slot via an adapter.

Where and how does one get this adapter? Will it be available as an option when you buy the Vampire? Or do I have to source it from somewhere else?

It's very simple board and I'm sure I read somewhere that it will be made available. kipper2k may still have some left depending on how many he ordered initially. A V500V2 that came up on ebay recently included one so kipper must have supplied it on request.

As mentioned above.
" A2000 either through the 68k socket OR into the CPU expansion slot via an adapter"

Are there two choices for a A2000?

A) Thru 68K socket (just install into socket, No Adapter Needed)
b) To do the CPU expansion method (Install Adapter with Vampire500V2 board into A2000 Expansion Slot

I am correct on (A) above?

I've fitted it in my 2000 without an adapter just fine, but I would like one of I can get it. I can even build it myself if I get a board or even better the eagle files.
