not sure if this is the right forum for this. Basically I'm trying to mount a SAMBA share and I keep getting the hostname is unknown check spelling. When I go to cli and type ping hostname same spelling and everything it resolves the host from DNS no problem. Do I need to configure something somewhere so samba uses DNS?? I'm on core 2.9 running Coffin R49 and using the Vampire expansion port ethernet module on my Vampire 500 V2+. Any suggestions?

Olaf is on a bug-fix-a-thon with the SAMBA support. There are updates to the 'development' branch almost every week! Most recent version is 1.147.

He keeps fixing old warts and limitations. :)
